The Court Security Staff of the Pendleton County Sheriffs Office will be the first persons to greet all new comers to the Justice Center and they take and understands their security role and responsibilities for the Justice Center. We also understand that this is something new to our County and that it will take some adjustment to both the people who work and visit the Justice Center on a daily basis.
All persons coming into the Justice Center for District, Family, and Circuit Court appearances as well as those needing to go to the Circuit Clerks Office will be required to pass through the security portal at the main entrance to the Justice Center. Below you will find a list of items which you will not be permitted to bring into the facility, it is recommended that you leave the items at home or in your car. If you bring it to the security check point you will be asked to either take the item back to your car or it can be held by the Court Security Officers until you leave the building.
